Jason Caplain of Southern Capitol Ventures is being kind enough to host another Meet a VC Day this Friday, September 28th. The event offers entrepreneurs the chance to sit down for a 15 minute meeting with both a VC, Jason, and a successful entrepreneur, ChannelAdvisor’s Scot Wingo. The meetings will be held at the ChannelAdvisor offices in Morrisville.

The event is a great way for entrepreneurs, or people who think they might have some entrepreneur in them, to get some real advice and access that is all too rare for young companies. Jason is also scheduled to appear at the Social Entrepreneur Meetup #8 this evening, so anyone attending that event might want to pick his brain in a fun informal environment. “Jason is a general partner and co-founded Southern Capitol Ventures after spending two years at Red Hat, the world’s premier open source and Linux provider. There, he directed the company’s global budgeting process, provided financial analysis for the successful IPO in August 1999 and performed due diligence on many of the company’s acquisitions. Prior to Red Hat, Jason was a partner at Harrison Hurley and Company, an investment banking and business-consulting firm headquartered in Providence, RI.”
