BarCamp RDU kicks off this weekend and seems to be ready for another successful run. They’ve done a great job of lining up sponsors , which is a great sign for the future growth of the event. They’re even supplying free espressos, lattes, and a pre-party with free food and drinks.

And I had to go and schedule my vacation for this same exact weekend! What a letdown. Wait, I’m disappointed that I get to go to the beach instead of hang out with 160 geeks all day? Is something wrong with me? Yes, probably. Still, it’s too bad, I could have brought my routers.

Fair warning – if I try to post any BarCamp coverage on here in the coming weeks, don’t listen to me, it’s all hearsay. I’ll do what I can to post relevant links.
