Before we had the iPhone, Nokia showed us their vision of the future: Digital Tacos.

I find it interesting to think of what would have happened if different technologies had taken off, and we were all using the N-Gage instead of lusting after iPhones. It’s funny to me that many of the criticisms of the iPhone were heard about the N-Gage too: high price-point, lack of some basic features, why do I need it at all? But for some reason everyone laughed at the N-Gage and worships the iPhone. Did Steve Jobs just convince us that it was that good because he is a jedi? I think this just proves that design matters. The digital taco just isn’t as sexy as the glossy touch screen. And yes, as it turns out, Steve Jobs is a jedi, so that helps.
